Indian Tax Advisory Firms Go Global As Cross-Border Business Expands

Indian tax and regulatory advisory firms are increasingly looking beyond the domestic market, seeking international partnerships and networks to cater to the growing cross-border business requirements of Indian companies and multinational corporations. As domestic businesses expand overseas through acquisitions, joint ventures and greenfield investments, the need for specialised expertise in international taxation, transfer pricing and regulatory compliance is creating new opportunities for India’s professional services industry.
In a recent development, Indian tax and regulatory advisory firm Aurtus has joined WTS Global, an international network of independent tax advisory firms with a presence in more than 100 countries.
The development comes amid an increase in overseas investment by Indian companies.
According to the Economic Survey 2025-26, India’s outward investment rose from $14.4 billion in FY24 to $23.6 billion in FY25, driven by greenfield projects, joint ventures and acquisitions. The trend reflects growing interest among domestic businesses in accessing overseas markets, technology and strategic assets.
“We founded Aurtus in 2020 with a clear purpose: to pair thoughtful, research-led tax advice with practical implementation. Becoming part of WTS Global extends that purpose across borders and gives our people and future talent the opportunity to develop a global mindset, collaborate with colleagues around the world and grow through new experiences. My Partners and I are excited at what lies ahead,” Vishal Gada, Founder and CEO, Aurtus, said.
As part of the WTS Global network, Aurtus will be able to connect its Indian clients with tax and regulatory specialists in other countries. The arrangement will also provide international businesses looking to enter or expand in India with access to local advisory services through the network’s member firms.
The collaboration is expected to cover areas such as international taxation, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance. Both organisations operate outside the audit business, focusing on tax and advisory services.
